Vivian A. Victoria

Grants Manager

As Grants Manager, Vivian A. Victoria manages the day-to-day grantmaking processes of the Harris & Eliza Kempner Fund and serves as a primary point of connection for applicants and grantee partners. With nearly a decade of grants management experience, she brings a thoughtful, relationship-centered approach to her work, helping ensure the Fund’s grantmaking is clear and consistent.

Vivian is passionate about advancing community-centered grantmaking rooted in transparency, partnership, and listening. She works closely with grantee partners throughout the grant cycle and contributes to the Fund’s efforts to reduce barriers, strengthen relationships, and create a grantmaking experience that reflects both the Fund’s values and the needs of the Galveston community.

Her approach to philanthropy has been shaped by opportunities to deepen her practice around equity and leadership. In 2021, Vivian represented Galveston in the Houston Anti-Racist Funders Cohort and more recently participated in Exponent Philanthropy’s National Catalytic Leadership in Philanthropy (CLIP) program, exploring how funders can use their roles, relationships, and influence to support community change.

Before joining the Fund, Vivian worked in federal grant management, healthcare administration, and executive support. She holds an MBA from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
